We are launching the call for applications to join the InteRussia fellowship program in theatre arts for specialists from BRICS+ countries.
The InteRussia program offers non-Russian actors a chance to get acquainted with Russian theatre practices, take part in scenic speech and acting workshops, meet recognised cultural figures, attend performances at leading Moscow theatres, and exchange experience with counterparts from different countries.
At the end of the program, the non-Russian fellows will prepare etudes featuring stage movement and excerpts from a play, which they will present at the final class.
Seniors from theatre schools, film schools, acting schools, and young professional actors from BRICS+ countries are welcome to participate.
The programme will be held from August 24 to October 4, 2025.
Location: Moscow, Russia.
Working language: English.
Eligibility
In order to take part in the selection, applicants must meet the following requirements at the close of the application process,
non-Russian citizenship;
age 21-35;
proficiency in English (B2 level and above).
Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis. The selection criteria include:
candidate’s professional background
quality of papers published by a candidate
results of the (online) interview

Sign up on the English version of the Gorchakov Fund’s website. If you did not receive a registration verification email, check your spam folder.
Navigate to the ”My Projects” section, click on the ”Create application” button, select the ”InteRussia Theatre 2025” contest and hit ”Yes.”
Fill in all mandatory fields.
Attach a link to your portfolio to the application.
Click on the “Submit” button in the “Apply” section and wait for the status to change from “Preparing” to “Submitted.”
travel from a place of residence to Moscow and back;
double room in a hotel;
visa support;
a scholarship of RUB 30,000 for the duration of the fellowship.
The participants pay for:
medical insurance;
meals during the fellowship.
The deadline for applications is June 1, 11:59 p.m. Moscow time (UTC +3). The results of the competitive selection will be sent to all candidates via email.
The InteRussia felloship program for non-Russian specialists in theatre arts is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and TV BRICS international media network with the grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
