The InteRussia team announces a call for applications to join the InteRussia fellowship for Middle Eastern and African specialists in the electric power industry.
The InteRussia program offers young non-Russian specialists in the electric power industry the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and learn about Russian approaches to the energy sector. Participants will visit government institutions and industrial enterprises, meet with leading experts and executives from electric industry companies, as well as relevant ministries and agencies, and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world.
The InteRussia fellows will take part in the ENERGOPROM International Electric Power Forum — 2026, the leading industry platform in the field of electric power, contributing to the solution of urgent tasks of the industry development, as well as the implementation of the Energy Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2050, approved by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.
As Irina Akhmetova, Kazan State Power Engineering University's Vice-Rector on Development and Innovation, remarks: "Kazan State Power Engineering University — one of the leading Russian universities in the energy sector — invites you to learn about the energy system of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the most modern and advanced in the Russian Federation. You will have an opportunity to attend lectures by leading faculty members, work in the labs, and participate in workshops on different aspects of the energy sector and energy policy. After the fellowship you will receive a certificate of completion of re-training course on one of the professions in the energy sector."
The program will take place from March 30 to April 21, 2026.

Eligibility
In order to take part in the selection, applicants must meet the following requirements at the close of the application process,
citizenship of one of the countries of Middle East and Africa;
residence outside the Russian Federation;
no academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or organisations at the time of application (candidates must not be enrolled in Russian educational institutions or employed by Russian organizations);
age between 21 and 40;
relevant education and work experience in electric power industry;
proficiency in English (B2 level and above).
Participants will be selected on a competitive basis.

Go to the "My Projects" section, click on "Create application", select "InteRussia Electric Power Industry 2026" and click "Yes."
Fill in all the mandatory sections of the application form.
Click "Submit" in the "Apply" section and wait for the status to change from "Preparing" to "Submitted."
The organizers will cover:
travel from a place of residence to Kazan and back;
accommodation in double rooms;
one-time scholarship of RUB 30,000 for the whole duration of the fellowship.
The participants must pay for:
medical insurance;
visa application fee;
meals during the fellowship.
The deadline for applications is February 2, 23:59 (UTC +3). The results of the competitive selection will be sent to all candidates via email.
The InteRussia Fellowship in the Electric Power Industry is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, and Kazan State Power Engineering University with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
