On August 8, the InteRussia energy program fellows from Latin American and Caribbean countries met with the president of "Global Energy," Sergey Brilev, who presented the Association's projects. The Association operates the "Global Energy" Prize, which in recent years has been awarded to several researchers from Latin America, including Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil.
Sergey Brilev stated, "The development of international scientific and educational projects is one of the key objectives of the Global Energy Association. Latin America is a crucial focus - a unique region where extensive experience in fossil fuel extraction is combined with widespread use of low-carbon sources."
In turn, Tatiana Mashkova, General Director of NC SESLA, noted that Russia and Latin American countries have a broad field for developing cooperation in the energy sector, including joint development of environmentally friendly energy-saving technologies.
Daniil Krapivin, Director of Project Development at the Global Energy Association, emphasized that the internship for Latin American specialists is not only a platform for knowledge exchange. It's about opportunities to build new directions of interaction between states and companies.
The InteRussia Energy Program is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, the International Network TV BRICS, the Global Energy Association, the National Committee for Promoting Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries (NC PECLA), and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
