On August 8, Alexey Kulapin, Director General of the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, held a meeting with participants of the InteRussia energy fellowship program from Latin America. He provided the guests with detailed information about the goals and development priorities of the Russian fuel and energy complex, its role in the country's economy and position in international markets, as well as the main areas of the Agency's work.

"Russia has always been and continues to be one of the key players in international energy markets and a reliable supplier of energy resources. Over the past two years, our country has expanded its geography of supplies and formed new partnerships. All this indicates that Russian energy resources are competitive and in demand in world markets," noted the head of the REA of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.

Special attention during the meeting was given to international cooperation. Alexey Kulapin emphasized that Russia is open to dialogue with countries and international associations aimed at building constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation. As a positive example of such interaction, the head of the REA cited the work on the energy track within the BRICS framework.

"Our key position in the international arena remains unchanged - ensuring energy security and universal access to energy at the current stage is impossible without the balanced development of hydrocarbon energy and new energy sources," emphasized the head of the Agency.

In conclusion, Alexey Kulapin noted that Russia is ready to provide its partners with energy resources until new energy sources can guarantee uninterrupted energy supply to consumers.

The meeting participants also discussed cooperation on training personnel for the fuel and energy complex, development of cooperation in nuclear energy, and other relevant issues.

The InteRussia Energy Program is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, the International Network TV BRICS, the Global Energy Association, the National Committee for Promoting Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries (NC PECLA), and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
