As part of the international InteRussia energy fellowship program, 10 specialists from the fuel and energy sector of Latin American countries visited Gazprom Neft's "Gladkoye" fuel terminal in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg. There, they familiarized themselves with modern technological solutions for preserving and controlling parameters of gasoline and diesel fuel.
During the visit to "Gladkoye," experts from Gazpromneft-Terminal demonstrated Russian developments in comprehensive quality control for the reception, storage, and distribution of petroleum products to the foreign specialists. Participants interacted with the heads of the testing laboratory and discussed universal approaches to building an effective control system for motor fuel parameters that could be successfully implemented in local markets. The specialists were briefed on how petroleum product logistics are structured and how compliance with current Russian fuel quality standards, including GOSTs and the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, is ensured.
Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of SPbSUE, noted: "Energy development issues are important for all countries without exception. Our colleagues from Latin America are visiting advanced domestic enterprises and, together with Russian colleagues, are studying the best solutions in building sustainable energy supply systems, including petroleum products, taking into account high environmental requirements, quality standards, and industrial safety. We see a keen interest from foreign specialists in exchanging practical experience in developing and implementing advanced technologies in enterprises. That is why, during the internship, together with Gazprom Neft experts, we decided to show our guests one of the most modern fuel terminals in Russia from the inside."
The choice of the "Gladkoye" terminal for the visit by Latin American specialists was due to its implementation of modern management processes. The terminal's information system is successfully integrated with other systems of Gazprom Neft's fuel and logistics network. This ensures end-to-end control of fuel integrity from the refinery to the gas station.
The InteRussia Energy Program is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund, the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, the International Network TV BRICS, the Global Energy Association, the National Committee for Promoting Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries (NC PECLA), and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
