On May 19, InteRussia journalists from North Africa and the Middle East had an opportunity to meet with Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussion focused on the role of media in shaping public opinion and influencing perceptions in today’s rapidly changing information landscape.
Fellows also explored Russia’s relations with countries across the Middle East and North Africa, exchanging views on international cooperation, regional dynamics, and the role of communication in strengthening mutual understanding.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format, giving interns a chance to ask questions and engage directly on topics related to international affairs, media developments, and contemporary challenges facing journalism.
The InteRussia Fellowship for television journalists from the Middle East and North Africa is implemented by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and RT Arabic with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
