Call for applications: InteRussia Internship Program in Journalism

The Gorchakov Fund in partnership with "Rossiya Segodnya" International media group and Rossotrudnichestvo begin accepting applications for the internship program for foreign journalists "InteRussia".

InteRussia provides a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about the Russian agenda, attend lectures and master classes taught by top media agencies, exchange experience with colleagues from different countries, visit educational institutions, thinks tanks and non-governmental political organizations, and public diplomacy events hosted by partners.

Applications are accepted for two parts of the internship program simultaneously.

The first part of the internship program will take place on September 12 - October 9, 2022.

Topic of the internship: “Russia and ASEAN: Achievements, Dilemmas, Challenges”

Journalists from the following countries are invited to apply: Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Location: Moscow, Russia

Language of the internship: English

Media partner of the program – ASEAN Center in MGIMO under MFA of Russia.

Deadline for applications for the first part of the internship program: July 29 at 11:59 pm Moscow Standard Time.

Results of the competition will be announced on August 8. All candidates will be notified about the results by e-mail.

The second part of the internship program will take place on November 7 - December 4, 2022.

Topic of the internship: “Russia and China: New Points of Rapprochement"

Journalists from China are invited to apply.

Location: Moscow, Russia

Languages of the internship: English, Chinese

Deadline for applications for the second part of the internship program: September 30 at 11:59 pm Moscow Standard Time.

Results of the competition will be announced on October 10. All candidates will be notified about the results by e-mail.

Who can apply?

Applicants, who meet the following requirements at the time of the application deadline, will be able to participate in the competition:

• foreign citizenship;
• age 25-35;
• strong/professional knowledge of English (at least B2 level).

Selection of the applicants for the internship will be based on results of the competition. The contest criteria include:

• professional experience of an applicant;
• academic level of the applicant's publications;
• interview results (in the online format).

How to participate?

Fill out an application form on the website of the Gorchakov Fund after registering on the Fund's website.

Terms of participation:

The organizers will cover:

• travel expenses to/from Moscow;
• double accommodation in a hotel;
• visa support;
• a scholarship for the duration of the internship in the amount of 30,000 rubles.

The participants are responsible for:

• meals during the internship;
• PCR test (if needed and according to the requirements at the arrival and during the stay);
• medical insurance.
