As part of their programs, the InteRussia fellows in International Relations and Oriental Studies met with:
Fyodor Lukyanov, Editor-in-Chief of "Russia in Global Affairs" journal, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, and
Dmitri Trenin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of World Military Economy and Strategy at HSE University, President of RIAC.
This meeting was not merely a lecture, but a conversation, a space for fellows to actively participate, ask questions, and share their point of view.
Topics that were at the center of the discussion:
a world and global institutions no longer held together by familiar rules;
what remains of liberalism and what is taking its place;
how Russia interprets global events and acts within today’s international system;
strategic stability in a time when predictability is no longer guaranteed.
No simplified narratives. No final conclusions. Just an honest attempt to make sense of the ability to think in uncertainty — and speak within it.
