Call for Applications: InteRussia Fellowship in Nuclear Technologies

The InteRussia team announces a call for applications to join the InteRussia fellowship for foreign specialists in nuclear technologies.

The InteRussia fellowship, implemented with the support of Rosatom, is designed to provide participants with an introduction to major Russian nuclear technologies and their applications across various sectors, such as energy production, medicine, and agriculture. In addition to technological insights, the program covers essential economic factors related to nuclear power utilization, along with strategic planning for nuclear energy development. Since the program is held in the "Train-the-Trainers" format, participants will also get acquainted with a methodology for creating nucleartechnology training programs for universities. Participants will also gain hands-on experience through technical tours to leading enterprises within Russia's nuclear energy sector, complemented by interactive sessions with industry professionals who have extensive expertise in these areas.

Topic of the program: "Nuclear Technologies for Sustainable Development."

The fellowship will take place from November 2 to November 29, 2026.

Location: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Obninsk, Russia.

Working languages: English.

Who can apply?

Specialists in the field of nuclear technologies who meet the following requirement are invited to apply:

  • non-Russian citizenship;
  • residence outside of the Russian Federation;
  • no academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or employers at the time of application (candidates must not be enrolled in Russian educational institutions or employed by Russian organizations);
  • age between 21 and 40;
  • professional proficiency in English (a minimum of B2 level).

How to Apply?

To participate in the competitive selection process, applicants must:

  1. Register on the English-language version of the Gorchakov Fund website. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
  2. Go to the “My Projects” section, click “Create Application,” select the competition “InteRussia Nuclear Technologies 2026”, and confirm your choice.
  3. Fill out all required sections of the application form.
  4. Submit the application by clicking the “Submit Application” button in the “Apply” section and wait until the status changes from “Preparing” to “Submitted.”

Fellowship Terms

The organizers provide:

  • travel from the participant’s place of residence to the venue of the program and back;
  • accommodation in double rooms;
  • one-time scholarship of RUB 30,000 for the whole duration of the fellowship.

Participants cover the following expenses:

  • medical insurance;
  • visa application fee;
  • meals during the fellowship period.

The deadline for applications is August 9, 11:59 p.m. Moscow time (UTC +3).

The InteRussia fellowship program in nuclear technologies is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. The main partner on the part of the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation is the Rosatom Technical Academy within the framework of the "Train-the-Trainers" project.
