Energy specialists from Latin America visited a Gazprom Neft filling station in St.Petersburg to learn more about the retail side of the energy industry. The visit introduced the fellows to the day-to-day operation of a modern filling station and the technologies that support the delivery of fuel to consumers.
During the visit, the fellows explored the main stages of the station’s operation, including fuel storage, delivery and dispensing, as well as the systems used to monitor equipment and ensure operational safety. They also learned about digital solutions applied at filling stations to manage operations and improve customer service. Gazprom Neft has been developing digital technologies across its retail network, including automated and self-service formats and digital services for customers.
The visit gave the fellows an opportunity to see how large-scale energy processes translate into everyday services and to discuss the technological and operational challenges of fuel retail. For the participants, it was another practical part of the fellowship programme, complementing their visits to major energy companies and institutions in Russia.
The InteRussia international energy fellowship programme is implemented at the premises of UNECON in cooperation with the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation, the Gorchakov Fund, and the TV BRICS international media network, supported by the Global Energy Association, the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the National Committee for Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries, and the Presidential Grants Fund.
