The Gorchakov Fund together with St Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) and the TV BRICS international media network and the ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" partnered with the Global Energy Association and Russian Energy Agency (REA of the Ministry of Energy of Russia) to launch call for applications to join the fellowship programme for specialists in energy sector from countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The project is conducted with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
Russian fuel and energy companies are becoming actively engaged in ensuring energy stability and security in Latin America and the Caribbean amid the global transformation of the world energy architecture. Domestic enterprises carry out joint project activities with a number of countries in the region, taking part both in the exploration and development of oil fields and in major infrastructure projects. The latter includes a number of nuclear power, hydropower and renewable energy ventures.
Lectures and seminars will be complemented by visits to government agencies, industrial enterprises and major energy infrastructure facilities, which will make an important part of the programme. These include the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Department of Transport of the Moscow Government, facilities of PJSC Mosenergo, PJSC Rosseti, PJSC Transneft, Severnaya compressor plant, PJSC Gazprom, and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
Programme dates: 29 July – 26 August.
Locations: St Petersburg and Moscow, Russia.

- Latin American or Caribbean nationality;
- relevant degree and work experience in the field of economics, management and technology in the energy sector;
- professional command of English (at least C1 level);
- a candidate must be currently employed at an energy company or agency in Latin America and the Caribbean.
How to participate?
- Sign up on the Gorchakov Fund website. If you did not receive a registration verification email, check your spam folder.
- Navigate to the “My Projects” section, click on the “Create application” button, select the “InteRussia Energy” contest and hit “Yes.”
- Fill in ALL mandatory fields.
- Click on the “Submit” button in the “Apply” section and wait for the status to change from “Preparing” to “Submitted.”

The organisers provide:
- travel from a candidate’s city of residence to St Petersburg and back, as well as from St Petersburg to Moscow in order to attend the Moscow part of the fellowship;
- single room in a hotel of St Petersburg, double room in Moscow;
- visa support;
- scholarship for the duration of the fellowship in the amount of 30,000 rubles;
- cultural programme.
The participants pay for:
- meals during their fellowship;
- PCR test (provided necessary and depending on the requirements at the time of arrival and stay)
- medical insurance
