InteRussia: application process for the energy specialists programme is now open

The Gorchakov Fund together with St Petersburg State University of Economics and the Russia-ASEAN Business Council are opening applications for the InteRussia fellowship programme for energy experts from ASEAN member states.

The current international political environment makes the analysis of the global and Russian energy market relevant. Participants will be able to analyse global energy trends, as well as regional cases of interstate cooperation and competition in this field. The fellowship programme includes lectures and case studies, group work, meetings with external experts, and visits to energy infrastructure facilities with the participation of the Russian Energy Agency and PJSC Gazprom. The combination of different training formats will allow participants to gain new professional skills and share experiences.

Date: 31 July – 29 August.

Location: St Petersburg and Moscow, Russia.

Working language: English.

The topic of the programme is “The changing energy landscape: new routes and the ‘net-zero’ concept.

Deadline for applications is 10 June, 23:59 Moscow Time.

The results will be announced on 5 July. All the candidates will be informed about the results via email.

Who can participate?

We invite candidates who meet the following requirements at the close of the application process:

  • nationals from ASEAN member states;
  • relevant degree and work experience in economics, management, and technology in the energy field;
  • professional command of the English language (at least C1 level);
  • a candidate must be currently an employee of an energy company, energy agency, the ASEAN Secretariat or ASEAN Centre for Energy.

How to participate?

Fill in the application form. Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis.

The organisers provide:

  • travel from an applicant’s place of residence to St Petersburg and back, as well as transfer from St Petersburg to Moscow to participate in the Moscow part of the fellowship;
  • single occupancy;
  • visa-related support;
  • scholarship for the duration of the fellowship in the amount of 30,000 rubles;
  • cultural programme.

The participants pay for:

  • meals during their fellowship;
  • a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test (if needed);
  • health insurance.
