Behind the Scenes: Nuclear Technology Fellows in Moscow

Energy
The journey of our nuclear specialists is far from over — but one major milestone is now behind them. After two intensive weeks in Moscow filled with deep-dive sessions, hands-on modeling, and the kind of “lightbulb moments” of insight they’re ready to move forward.

So what exactly did the fellows explore?
  • Forging a nation’s nuclear future
  • Tools and models that show where low-carbon systems are headed and why nuclear energy matters
  • The real economics of clean energy
  • Applications of nuclear technologies outside of energy
  • The world of small modular reactors

The highlight of the program were the open discussions with Maria Oseeva, Head of International Nuclear Infrastructure Projects at Rosatom International Network, and Sergey Brilev, journalist and President of the Global Energy Association, where participants delved into not only the “how” of nuclear development but also the “why.”

And the fellowship is only gaining speed. Ahead is St. Petersburg, new expert panels, and the long-awaited visit to the Leningrad NPP.

The InteRussia fellowship program in nuclear technologies is implemented by ANO Mezhdunarodniki together with the Gorchakov Fund, with the support of the ABS Electro Charitable Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation. The main partner on behalf of the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation is ANO DPO Rosatom Technical Academy as part of the Train-the-Trainers project.
