On June 26, the InteRussia fellowship for foreign engineers concluded at Novosibirsk State University. Participants included young specialists from Ghana, Haiti, India, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, Sudan, and Turkmenistan.
On behalf of the Gorchakov Fund, fellowship coordinator Una Momcilovic addressed the participants. She thanked them and emphasized the importance of international cooperation for the development of modern technologies.
“Over this month, you have formed an international community united by an interest in the future of technology. As artificial intelligence continues to develop, the world will need not only highly qualified specialists but also people capable of international dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding. May this program mark the beginning of new joint projects, ambitious initiatives, and strong friendships that will continue after your departure from Novosibirsk.”
Mikhail Fedoruk, the fellowship’s scientific supervisor and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, noted that the program was held for the third time this year and is of great importance both for Russia and for the countries of the participants. “I hope you enjoyed your time at Akademgorodok, gained new knowledge, made new friends, and will remember your time here fondly. Most importantly, never rest on your laurels. Keep moving forward, and you will succeed.”
One of the supervisors of the “Artificial Intelligence in Medicine” program, Evgeny Pavlovsky, a leading researcher at the NSU Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI Center), noted that the participants met the organizers' expectations, successfully completing their projects.
“We tried to share our best practices with you, and you responded with your own contributions. You worked on truly interesting projects and were able to develop them into prototypes. I hope our collaboration will continue after the fellowship.”
The ceremony concluded with presentations from the participants, who shared their impressions of the fellowship. They thanked the InteRussia program and Novosibirsk State University for the opportunity to gain new experience and meet with leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence.

The fellows visited the Novosibirsk Technopark, the Astra company, Vega-Absolut, Novosibirskenergosbyt JSC, and Eltex. They studied modern engineering solutions, production process management, and developments in information technology, telecommunications, energy, and industrial automation, and also exchanged experiences with Russian specialists.
An important part of the program was the cultural and educational component, which allowed the participants to gain a closer understanding of the history, culture, and scientific potential of Novosibirsk. The fellows had a sightseeing tour of the city, visited the Cossack Fortress, the Novosibirsk Zoo, and the Novosibirsk Planetarium, and also attended a performance at the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The cultural program facilitated a deeper understanding of Russian traditions, the history, and the contemporary development of Siberia.
