Skoltech Hosts Opening Ceremony of the InteRussia Fellowship in Engineering

On August 30th, the InteRussia Fellowship in Agrobiotechnologies and Wireless Technologies was launched at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) in Moscow.

The programme participants were addressed by Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund, Denis Stolyarov, Dean of Student Affairs at Skoltech, Natalia Galochkina, Head of Admissions Office at Skoltech, Alexey Frolov, Director of the Skoltech Project Center for Next Generation Wireless and Internet of Things, and Cecile Ben, Associate Professor at the Skoltech Project Center for Agro Technologies.

As part of the opening ceremony, our new fellows visited the Project Center for Next Generation Wireless and Internet of Things and the Project Center for Agro Technologies, where for a whole month they will

  • dive into the Innovation Workshop course to get acquainted with the Institute's main achievements and areas of activity;
  • work in the Skoltech laboratories and visit leading Russian IT and agricultural export companies;
  • develop own cutting-edge research in STEM.

This time, the program involved 14 young specialists from Azerbaijan, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Mali, Nigeria, Tunisia, and Sierra Leone.

The InteRussia fellowship programme in agrobiotechnologies and wireless technologies is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
