On October 22, the InteRussia fellowship in international relations was officially launched at the MGIMO Institute for International Studies. This time, our main program brings together young specialists from Argentina, Cameroon, India, Iran, Kenya, Moldova, Pakistan, and Turkey who will work on individual projects under the guidance of lead MGIMO researchers.
Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director at the Gorchakov Fund, welcomed the participants stating,
“Thanks to the joint efforts of the MGIMO Institute for International Studies and the Gorchakov Fund, fellows have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Russian culture, its daily and professional life, which creates a favorable environment for further joint projects in the field of social, scientific, and public diplomacy.”
Andrey Baykov, Vice-Rector for Research at MGIMO University, also addressed the fellows with welcoming remarks, emphasizing the relevance of the program amid the current geopolitical tectonic shifts.
In his turn, Maxim Suchkov, Director of the MGIMO Institute for International Studies, thanked the participants for their interest in the program and noted that even a short-term research fellowship is a personal and professional challenge.
Following the opening ceremony, the international relations specialists embarked on a comprehensive MGIMO campus and Museum of MGIMO History tour.
Stay tuned to witness the breakthrough science projects of our fellows!
