On October 1, the InteRussia fellowship in international relations was launched at the prestigious Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were welcomed by representatives of the Gorachakov Fund, IMEMO, and Rossotrudnichestvo, as well as other partners of the New Generation program.
Victoria Karslieva, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund, addressed the fellows,
"Ahead of you are four weeks of intensive work with lead specialists from RAS Institutes. The goal of the program is that you could return home with a clear understanding of and plan for your professional development in the chosen area of cooperation with Russia. Our specialists will definitely help you and share their experience."
In his turn, Feodor Voitolovsky, Director of IMEMO, presented the Institute's main activities and explained to the participants what awaits them as part of the fellowship.
Following the opening ceremony, international relations specialists went on a sightseeing tour of Moscow and visited the Victory Museum.
In the coming month, our fellows will take part in expert sessions and draft scientific research under the guidance of lead Russian scholars. Follow the news!
The InteRussia fellowship program in international relations for specialists from the CIS states is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organization in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Arbatov Institute for U.S. and Canada Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Rossotrudnichestvo with the grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
