Empowering Future Political Leaders

International Relations
In October, a vibrant group of young specialists in international relations from the CIS countries came together for an immersive InteRussia fellowship programme. During this time, they dove deep into the complexities of global affairs, developed new professional and research skills, and formed enduring connections.

To make this experience so impactful, our fellows:

  • gained expert insights on academic methodology, crafting their own research projects;
  • honed their critical thinking through participation in debate clubs, strategic sessions, and thought-provoking film screenings;
  • visited the Valdai Discussion Club, the IMEMO Science Festival, and the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library;
  • immersed themselves in Russian culture, attending a stunning performance of Swan Lake and visiting the State Historical Museum.

Although the fellowship has came to an end, the invaluable insights and connections forged will profoundly influence these young leaders' perspectives for years to come, empowering a new generation of international experts to cultivate a deeper understanding of the political processes across the globe.

The InteRussia fellowship program in international relations for specialists from the CIS states is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organization in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Arbatov Institute for U.S. and Canada Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Rossotrudnichestvo with the grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
