On May 23, InteRussia fellows met with Vasily Kuznetsov, Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Vasily Kuznetsov gave them a crash course on the institute's history and international collaborations. He also shed light on Russia's foreign policy priorities in the Middle East region. Participants also delved into the nitty-gritty of security in North Africa, the recent flare-up of tensions between Palestine and Israel, and the current state of Russia-Egypt relations.
The InteRussia journalism program is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniky" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund and RT Arabic, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
