InteRussia Fellowship for OIC Journalists Launches at Rossiya Segodnya

Journalism
On April 21, the Sputnik's parent company, Rossiya Segodnya, hosted the official opening ceremony of the InteRussia fellowship in journalism for specialists from the OIC countries.

The participants were welcomed by Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director at the Gorchakov Fund, and Vasily Pushkov, Director of International Cooperation at Sputnik International News Agency and Radio Broadcast Service.

"By bringing together international journalists from such diverse backgrounds, the InteRussia fellowship allows them to directly engage with Russian media practices through hands-on experience, but more importantly, it sparks the kind of honest exchange that journalism desperately needs right now", — noted Vasily Pushkov.

During this month, fellows from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, and Qatar will attend master classes and workshops led by agency experts, meet with representatives of leading Russian companies and think tanks, and explore the history and cultural traditions of Russia.

The InteRussia fellowship program in journalism for specialists from OIC countries is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and the Sputnik International News Agency and Radio Broadcast Service with the grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
