Registration process to join the InteRussia fellowship for non-Russian journalists from Asia is now open

The Gorchakov Fund together with the Sputnik Information Agency and Radio and Rossotrudnichestvo are launching the call for applications to join the InteRussia fellowship programme for non-Russian journalists from Asia held as part of the New Generation programme.

The InteRussia programme is an opportunity for foreign journalists to to familiarise themselves with the Russian agenda, learn from the experience of leading Sputnik specialists, exchange experience with counterparts from different countries, as well as visit renowned educational, research and socio-political platforms and events.

Over the course of four weeks, participants will have the opportunity to meet with top Russian experts and analysts, as well as colleagues from Russian news agencies. They will additionally attend a number of practice-oriented trainings, workshops and educational seminars on various aspects of the work activities of media professionals.

Fellowship topic is Russia and Asia: shared challenges and points of growth.

Fellowship will run from 22 June to 20 July 2024.

Journalists from ASEAN countries, as well as China and India are welcomed to participate.

Location: Moscow, Russia.

Working language: English.

The deadline to apply for the fellowship is 10 May 23:59 MSK.

The results of the selection will be announced on 13 May. All the candidates will be informed about the results via email.

Eligibility

In order to take part in the selection, applicants must meet the following requirements at the close of the application process:

  • non-Russian citizenship
  • age 25-35
  • proficiency in English (B2 level and above)

Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis. The selection criteria include:

  • candidate’s professional background
  • quality of papers published by a candidate
  • results of the (online) interview

Terms of participation

The organisers provide:

  • travel from a city of residence to Moscow and back
  • double accommodation
  • visa support
  • medical insurance
  • scholarship for the duration of the fellowship in the amount of 30,000 rubles.

The participants pay for:

  • meals during their fellowship;
  • PCR test (provided necessary and depending on the requirements at the time of arrival and stay)
