InteRussia Fellows Participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

InteRussia fellows took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which took place from June 5 to 8 at the Expoforum.

Journalists from the Middle East and North Africa covered the work of SPIEF for their media outlets. Over four days, they conducted more than 20 interviews with key Russian and foreign speakers at the forum.

Among their interlocutors were: Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hala Helmy El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development of Egypt; Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary; Kamel Moula, Chairman of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA); and Fauzia Yusuf Haji Adan, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia.

The journalists also spoke with the ambassadors of Syria and Brazil to Russia, religious figures, and representatives of Russian regions.

The InteRussia journalism program is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniky" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund and RT Arabic, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
