InteRussia Journalism Fellowship for Foreign Specialists from Asian Countries Concludes

On July 19, the official closing of the InteRussia internship for foreign journalists from ASEAN countries, India, and China took place at the Gorchakov Fund. Summing up the results, Vasily Pushkov, Director of International Cooperation at the "Russia Today" Media Group, and Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the A.M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund, addressed the program participants.

From June 22 to July 20, interns from Vietnam, India, Indonesia, China, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippinesattended lectures, master classes, and workshops prepared by leading specialists from MIA "Russia Today". They familiarized themselves with the Russian perspective on the future of the global media system and the specifics of media and brand monitoring, acquired skills in article writing, social media work, and the use of AI in video production.

During the program, journalists participated in the X International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings", the Gorchakov Fund's scientific and educational program "Asian Dialogue - 2024", the BRICS Civil Forum, and visited Russia Today and JSC UCC "Uralchem".

The interns met with researchers and management of the ASEAN Center at MGIMO University of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where they learned about the Russian perception of Southeast Asian countries, China, and India, and key areas of cooperation.

The cultural part of the program included a tour of Moscow and visits to the Tretyakov Gallery, the Victory Museum, the International Exhibition Forum "Russia" at VDNH, the MGIMO campus, and the Rare Book Museum.

The InteRussia fellowship programme in journalism is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in collaboration with the Gorchakov Fund, the International Information Agency and Radio "Sputnik," and Rossotrudnichestvo, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
