Journalism
On September 30th, the InteRussia Fellowship in Journalism started at the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency in Moscow. This programme welcomes talented journalists from 11 BRICS+ countries, including Kenya, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran, China, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund, officially opened the programme, noting the significance of this year's focus on BRICS nations:

"This year, because of the chairmanship of the Russian Federation in BRICS, we decided to bring BRICS countries all together. Such programmes are of paramount importance as they contribute to cooperation between our countries. I hope after this month you will know more about Russia", Orlov remarked.

Vasily Pushkov, Director of International Cooperation at Sputnik International News Agency and Radio, pointed out the importance of the InteRussia programme. He highlighted how it not only provides professional development for the participants but also strengthens cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration between journalists from BRICS+ countries and their Russian counterparts.

Following the opening ceremony, the journalists embarked on a tour of the International Information Agency office, gaining a firsthand look at the dynamic environment where news is crafted.

The InteRussia fellowship program in journalism is implemented by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and the Sputnik International News Agency and Radio Broadcast Service with the grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.
