InteRussia fellowship programme for foreign doctors comes to an end in Moscow

On 15 December, the Fund’s hall hosted the closing ceremony of the fellowship for medical professionals. It was organised by the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

The programme was attended by seven doctors from China, Cuba, India, India, Iraq, and Turkey.

Leonid Drachevsky, Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund, addressed the participants with parting words, thanking them for their interest in the programme and congratulating on its successful completion. He also expressed his gratitude to Sechenov University for its cooperation and understanding of the importance of such events.

Leonid Drachevsky was followed by Lyana Dymova, Academic Programmes Coordinator at the Gorchakov Fund, who also spoke to the fellows. She told them about the activities of the organisation, its grant projects and the in-house programmes implemented around the world and aimed at young researchers, scholars who study international relations, political scientists and journalists.

Ruslan Emirveliev, Head of the International Development Department, Sechenov University, also attended the ceremony. He expressed his hope that the fellowship came to be a valuable contribution made by foreign doctors to their specialisation and that their visit to Russia was just the beginning of fruitful and long-term cooperation between our countries.

The event ended with the awarding of fellowship certificates to the participants. They also shared their impressions and expressed their gratitude to the organisers for the opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience at Russia’s leading medical university.
