Applications Extended for InteRussia Theatre Arts Fellowship Programme

InteRussia Team is extending the application deadline for the InteRussia Theatre Arts Internship Programme. The project is being conducted with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The InteRussia programme offers non-Russian actors a chance to get acquainted with Russian theatre practices, take part in scenic speech and acting workshops, meet recognised cultural figures, attend performances at leading Moscow theatres, and exchange experience with colleagues from different countries. The project is conducted with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.

At the end of the programme, the non-Russian fellows will prepare etudes featuring stage movement and excerpts from a play, which they will present at the final class. Seniors from theatre schools, film schools, acting schools, and young professional actors from BRICS+ countries are welcome to participate.

The programme will be held from 26 August to 22 September.

Location: Moscow, Russia.

Working language: English.

Deadline for applications is 16 June, 23:59 Moscow time.

Eligibility

In order to take part in the selection, applicants must meet the following requirements at the close of the application process,

  • non-Russian citizenship
  • age 21-35
  • proficiency in English (B2 level and above)

Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis. The selection criteria include,

  • candidate’s professional background
  • quality of papers published by a candidate
  • results of the (online) interview

How to apply?

  1. Sign up on the English version of the Gorchakov Fund’s website. If you did not receive a registration verification email, check your spam folder.
  2. Navigate to the My Projects section, click on the Create application button, select the InteRussia Theatre contest and hit Yes.
  3. Fill in all mandatory fields.
  4. Click on the Submit button in the Apply section and wait for the status to change from Preparing to Submitted.

Terms of participation

The organisers provide:

  • travel from a city of residence to Moscow and back
  • double room in a hotel
  • visa support
  • scholarship for the duration of the fellowship in the amount of 30,000 rubles.

The participants pay for:

  • meals during their fellowship;
  • PCR test (provided necessary and depending on the requirements at the time of arrival and stay)
  • medical insurance
