Moscow is hosting the InteRussia in theatre arts for young artists from BRICS+ countries. The program, developed in collaboration with the international media network TV BRICS and the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), is being implemented by the Gorchakov Fund for Public Diplomacy Support with backing from the Presidential Grants Foundation.

Twelve young artists aged 21 to 35 were selected to participate in the internship. For several weeks, they will study at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS. A rich educational and cultural program has been prepared for the international guests. They attend lectures on the history of Russian theater and the professional journeys and techniques of outstanding actors and playwrights. Under the guidance of the institute's leading teachers, interns analyze and dissect plays and productions, familiarizing themselves with the best practices and traditions of the Russian school of acting.

Program participants shared their impressions of the first days of the internship with TV BRICS. Jia Yueyang, a student from the China Academy of Art, expressed interest in practical classes on stage movement and Russian theater traditions. "In Russia, I have the opportunity to get acquainted with Russian culture and theatrical art. First and foremost, with the Stanislavsky system," he said.

Zahra Janmohammadi, a program participant from Iran, noted the common interests and motivation among the interns, which helped them quickly find common ground. "The fact that we're from the same field helped us bond and find points of connection based on similar experiences and emotions. Theater unites us all, regardless of the country," the intern shared.

The InteRussia program in theater arts is implemented by ANO "Mezhdunarodniki" in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and GITIS, with grant support from the Presidential Grants Fund.
